When: Submissions open now. Deadline: 5 May 2026, 23:59 GMT.

Where: Online (UK wide submissions)

Who: Young people, 18+ with learning disabilities and/or autism

Sheffield DocFest, in partnership with ArtWorks Together, invites filmmakers with learning disabilities and or autism to submit short documentaries for “Something I Want You To Know…”. This UK-wide opportunity is open to those aged 18 and over and encourages bold, creative films that share personal stories, perspectives, or experiences.

Films should be no longer than three minutes, and there are no strict rules around how they are made. Participants are encouraged to use any equipment available to them and experiment with their ideas.

This is a chance for emerging filmmakers to express themselves, develop their creative practice, and have their voices heard. Selected films will be screened as part of Sheffield DocFest in June 2026.

Submissions are free and close on 5 May 2026.
