Who our partners are

Our partners work with children and young people in Sheffield.

They might teach in a school or college, lead community circus skills workshops or be an artist working with youth groups.

What they all have in common is an enthusiasm for how creativity can enhance learning and lives.

“Before working alongside Create Sheffield, I did not understand the benefit of using stories to teach factual learning such as science.

“Now we are planning professional development for our staff on using stories across the curriculum.”

Gemma Eden, a teacher at Watercliffe Meadow Primary in Sheffield

It is free to become a Create Sheffield partner.

Once you, your school, youth group or organisation, sign up as a partner your work will benefit from our key actions.

These actions are to:

  • Connect - bringing partners together around a common cause.

  • Collaborate - work toward solutions and ideas that are more powerful when we do it together.

  • Champion - the rights of children and young people to a rich, creative life with opportunities wherever they live in Sheffield.

In a recent consultation, 100 percent of participating partner organisations said they found the network helpful.

They experienced better access to training or information, higher public awareness of their work, and found that people had more trust in their organisation.

Anyone who works with children and young people through education, art, culture, creativity or heritage can become a partner.

That applies to strategic decision makers, those working in a cultural organisation or in health and wellbeing.

All they need to do is share our vision of forging connections to arts and culture for every young person in Sheffield.
