Learn how to use a Game Boy Camera and make your own digital print.

When the Game Boy Camera was released in 1998 it captured images at 128×112 pixels, rendering the world in four shades of grey. This workshop takes the creative restrictions of low resolution photography as its starting point. The Society of Explorers, Site Gallery’s youth group, found that the camera’s large reduction of detail made them feel less precious about the images they took and less self-conscious about appearing in them.

In this session you’ll head out into the city to shoot, before coming back to make prints from your images. Prompts and activities developed by the group will guide you along the way. You will also have the opportunity to recolour your pixelated images using Asesprite software.

Pay what you can - suggested price £7.50.
