Join us at the museum for hands-on family activities all about these amazing machines.

  • Build your own paper cup rescue robot

  • Take on a robot driving challenge

  • Try moving and lifting objects robot-style

  • Follow a robot trail around the museum

  • See a real bomb disposal robot on display

Plus, join us over the Bank Holiday weekend on Saturday 23, Sunday 24 and Monday 25 May when our Tyne Class Lifeboat will also be open for visitors to explore (subject to weather conditions).

All activities are included with normal museum admission and don’t forget, your ticket can be upgraded FREE on the day into a Year Ticket so you can visit again and again
