Created by acclaimed theatre-makers Crescendorious (Brigitte Aphrodite & Quiet Boy), Kids to the Front is a joyful, interactive live music and theatre adventure made for children aged 0–7 (although all ages are welcome) and their families, packed with songs, storytelling, creativity and plenty of chances to join in.
Whilst touring across the universe, the aliens of The Boogie Woogie Space Junk Band crash-land in North Sheffield! They need your help to find their trusty supersonic space pig, Brian, and create the greatest electro-punk gig the galaxy has ever seen.
RivelinCo are bringing four free, Pay What You Can performances to communities with their partners across North Sheffield:
Friday 24 July
• 11.30am, Longley Four Greens Community Centre
• 4.00pm, Parson Cross Initiative (Mount Tabor)
Saturday 25 July
• 11.30am, Stannington Park
• 3.30pm, Middlewood Park
Alongside the performances, there are two free Creative Music, Drama & Craft Workshops for children aged 5–11 on Thursday 23 July. Working alongside the artists, children will create songs, ideas and artwork inspired by their local communities, with their contributions helping to shape the performances.
📍 Stannington: 10.30am to 1.00pm
📍 Parson Cross Initiative: 3.30pm to 6.00pm
Free tickets for children eligible for school meals & Pay-what-you can tickets. Please note that all performances will take place outdoors (weather permitting), so feel free to bring a picnic blanket or camping chair to sit on, and even a picnic if you'd like. Whether you're making a day of it or looking for a relaxed alternative to the festival crowds, we'd love to welcome you for an afternoon of music, theatre and family fun.
