What can I expect from Growtheatre Youth Theatre?

During the course of each year, youth theatre members learn a whole host of drama, design, performance and outdoor skills. Growtheatre foster a supportive, encouraging and fun atmosphere, which allows members to develop their confidence both as individuals and performers. Youth theatre members come to understand the importance of collaboration and creativity and are given many opportunities to take ownership of the creative process.

At some point in the year Growtheatre work with each group to devise a piece of vibrant theatre that is, more often than not, performed in an outdoor location. They try to be responsive to each group’s needs when choosing the best time to do this, for instance Senior members have said that they prefer to avoid the Summer Term when they have exams.

Tuesday and Thursday Evenings TUESDAY Junior Group (School Years 3, 4 and 5): 5.00 pm – 6.00 pm TUESDAY Intermediate Group (School Years 6, 7 and 8): 6.05 pm – 7.35 pm THURSDAY Junior Group (School Years 3, 4 and 5): 5.00 pm – 6.00 pm THURSDAY Intermediate Group (School Years 6, 7 and 8): 6.05 pm – 7.35 pm THURSDAY Senior Group (School Years 9, 10 and 11): 7.40 pm – 9.10 pm

£7.00 / session for Juniors £9.00 / session for Intermediates and Seniors (sibling discount and low income discount available)
