Attention all budding script writers!

Showroom are looking for young writers, aged 16-25, based in the North to submit their 5-page scripts for consideration on our BFI Film Academy Introductory Course in Sheffield.

They’re looking for writers to submit a script to be made into a short film by this year’s BFI Film Academy Introductory Course participants. The film can be up to 5 minutes in length.

If your script is selected, your short film will be made by a group of trainee filmmakers as part of a BFI Film Academy training initiative led by BFI Film Academy Yorkshire and The Humber. Winning scripts will also receive £150 prize money and will be invited to any screenings of the film!

Writers can be based anywhere in the North and aged 16-25. Conditions, terms of entry and guidelines for the script can be found on the application page.

The current deadline for submissions is 25 September, but may be extended!
