Kate Halliwell

What: Philosophy for Children (P4C) Club

Where: DECSY, Scotia Works, Leadmill Road, Sheffield, S1 4SE

Who: 10-13 year olds

Back by popular demand, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a FREE, city-wide P4C club for 10 - 13 year olds.

The weekly sessions are on Tuesdays, 4 – 5.30pm, with Kate Halliwell (a trained facilitator) at DECSY, Scotia Works, Leadmill Road.

The club will engage up to 12 children in philosophical enquiry, discussing such themes as:

• right and wrong

• rights and responsibilities

• how we know about things

• what we value as human beings

The club draws together children from all over the city; giving them a chance to think with others and think for themselves and an opportunity to open their minds to new ideas, opinions and experiences as a result.

P4C supports social, emotional and intellectual understanding and it’s great fun! ‘P4C helps me to pay attention to what thoughts I’m having.’

Tuesdays 4 - 5.30pm
