Woodland Wellbeing

Woodland Wellbeing specialises in nature connection for families, community groups and organisations in Sheffield through curated sessions, courses, walks and talks. I deliver sessions in various sites around the city and often work with other skilled outdoor creatives to deliver high quality memorable experiences.

We are passionate about reaching communities who can’t easily access the great outdoors - supporting parents and carers and their children to connect with each other and nature through play, creativity and campfires. We work with community groups, groups of young people, toddlers, child-minders, schools and various local organisations.

Often found in urban woodlands, we have use of various accessible sites around Sheffeld such as Shirebrook Nature Reserve, Gleadless Valley, Manor Fields Park, and the Stoneface Woodland Gallery amongst over sites and we can also come to you if the space is appropriate.

Sessions and courses all revolve around bushcraft, foraging, natural art or mindful experiences and focus on being immersed in nature in a safe and inclusive space. We are always open to new ideas, love a ‘random request’ and will often curate a session for an organisation following a good discussion.

Alongside this we work with Sheffield-based community organisations to run an 8-week Woodland Confidence course which aims to provide people with the confidence to spend time outdoors and connect more deeply with it. This course covers mindful experiences, natural art, photography, bushcraft skills, campfire cooking, ecology, foraging and natural art.

I have 15 years experience of working with communities and nature including training with the Forestry Commission, Forest School Leader Level 3 training and working as a Community Ranger in various urban parks around Sheffield.
