Be part of a City Wide ‘Junk Sculpture’ Exhibition!

Matthew Laurie

In November 2021, the SEN and Creativity Community of Practice met face-to-face for the first time.  This group brings together teachers from Sheffield special schools and professional artists to explore how the creative process can benefit the children and the people supporting them.

Jennie from the Rowan school led a fantastic Junk Sculpture workshop which inspired everyone to make some striking and unusual creations.

One outcome of this event is that group has developed an activity pack that will be offered freely to all special schools in Sheffield.  The pack will explain how to run a fabulous Junk Sculpture workshop in your class to create artwork that can be photographed and uploaded to our online exhibition www.specialart.space

Please get in touch with Daina or Matt if you’d like to be involved.  More information will be sent out to special schools in January.
