Third Angel are Theatre Makers. We show our work all over the world. You could find us in the theatre, but you might find us working out in the streets, or in a gallery, performing in a mini bus, or talking to audiences in a tent at a festival. We write, design and produce all of our work. We also do a lot of work with our local community and young people, helping the next generation to find their voice and make exciting new work.
Third Angel's participation programme is varied and designed for a broad range of settings.
- For children and young people we offer free workshops through the Future Makers programme, providing 14-19 year olds the chance to see what roles like lighting design, special effects make-up or cinematography involve, learning from industry professionals. These run on Saturdays in the spring term every year. We also offer participants the chance to work to achieve Arts Award, and are a Children's University Learning Destination.
- We offer 2 young people an office-based, two-week work experience placement in the summer term.
- We design and deliver bespoke projects with schools, colleges, and other education and healthcare settings.. These can deliver parts of a drama and English curriculum, but can also use drama, devising and storytelling to animate other curriculum areas, or support and enrich social and emotional provision.
- Our BOOST mentoring programme provides practising artists with the opportunity to be supported to develop a piece of their own work.
