Sheffield Music Hub
Sheffield Music Hub is a partnership of Music Education organisations in the City led by Sheffield Music Service (Sheffield City Council). This partnership works to ensure that every child, regardless of race; gender; where they live; their levels of musical talent; parental income; whether they have special educational needs or disabilities; and whether they are looked-after children; have access to the very best music education. Sheffield Music Service, as lead organisation provides musical opportunities and lessons to over 10,000 Children and Young People in the city every week.
Sheffield Music Hub offers a broad range of opportunities in the city including but not limited to:
- Specialist Instrumental and Vocal Lessons
- Music Groups, bands, orchestras and choirs
- In school projects including Whole Class instrumental tuition; singing packages and festivals and live performances
- Access to professional musicians including performances by the Halle Orchestra, Music in the Round and others.
- Creative projects with composers
- Outstanding performance opportunities for Children and Young People promoting over 50 live music events a year.
- Bursaries for families with financial barriers, for looked after children and for talented children
