Rosie Carnall
I'm a freelance Creative Facilitator with an MA in Creative Writing, accreditation in Philosophy for Children/Communities (P4C) and a love of crafts.
I devise and deliver creative writing workshops for people of all ages, use Philosophy for Children/Communities to get people thinking together and enjoy incorporating craft-based activities when possible!
I’ve got experience of designing and delivering creative writing workshops for a range of age groups in both school and community contexts. I take a playful approach to get people writing for fun and am also comfortable facilitating more reflective sessions.
I particularly enjoy bringing writing and craft together to find new ways in to making stories and poems, for example, workshops at an outdoor festival to create a flock of 'metaphorical birds' each with their own metaphor-based ribbon poem.
I'm an Associate Artist and Creative Mentor with Grimm & Co. As a Creative Mentor I work on a one to one basis with looked-after children to develop their creative interests in a positive relationship.
I use P4C with children, adults and mixed age groups to offer philosophical enquiries on a range of themes including to explore issues and develop creativity. I have used P4C to provide an audience response process after spoken word performances, to explore themes and big questions.
I'm an Associate P4C Facilitator with the Development Education Centre South Yorkshire.
I recently spent a year as the interim CEO of Ignite Imaginations, which further inspired my passion for engaging people of all ages in participatory arts to explore and develop their confidence and interests.
